Non Domestic ASHP System Design

This course assesses the differences in performance of different ASHP compressor and refrigerant matchings.

It identifies key design considerations and guides participants through a thought process of technical considerations such as power, temperature, operating range, acoustic emissions and thermal storage needs – for both CH and DHW provision.

There is a section on the importance of COP and SCOP and background calc details, as well as a small section on controls, TM65 and F Gas servicing. This course does not cover system layout, clearances, commissioning and/or installation aspects.

Optimising ASHP Performance with EVI

This course is specifically designed to communicate that ASHPs are not all offering the same outcomes.

This course highlights the performance advantages of sophisticated component inclusion, specifically inverter compressors, as well as refrigerant circuit design. Detailed refrigerant circuity animation is included to demonstrate the difference between a standard compression circuit and the Evaporative Vapour Injection variant – with photographic content demonstrating this ‘in real world’ as well as published data comparisons to show the variations.

The course is designed to inform participants of the added value that EVI and inverter compressors can bring to ASHP performance.
