A low loss header provides hydraulic separation between the boiler circuit and the heating circuit, regulating the flow rate and pressure, improving efficiency and performance.

Essentially your boiler, or specifically the heat exchanger within the boiler, will only operate at maximum efficiency when the flow rate of water passing through it is maintained at the design flow and temperature.

A correctly sized low loss header will achieve this. If the header is of vertical alignment then it will also allow settlement of some water borne sludge to be isolated and removed.

All Strebel cascade kits come as standard with a matched low loss header (or without as per client request) which has been sized to accommodate the boiler output.
